Anup Jalota’s bhajans at ISKCON, New Jersey creates a celestial gateway!

Anup Jalota wowed audiences and devotees with his divine singing at the Bhajan Sandhya organized by ISKCON of Central New Jersey. This musical event, held in Edison, New Jersey on Saturday, January 20 was dedicated to singing the glory of Lord Krishna. Organized by the dedicated volunteers of ISKCON as a fundraiser for the Krishna temple being built in Old Bridge, New Jersey, this event was attended by many fans of Anup Jalota and music lovers. The audience included the honorable Mayor of Edison Jun H. Choi.

It was a heavenly experience for the attendees. Anup Jalota, a trained classical music singer, and a legend of our times sang the most beautiful and heartfelt bhajans that brought joy and peace to everyone. Amritananda Das, Secretary of ISKCON Central New Jersey enthused “It was an ecstatic experience. We are still reeling under the impact; it was way beyond our expectations!” Chitra and Arvind Kumar who attended the performance said “Thanks to Anupji it was a beautiful musical connection to Lord Krishna.” Sanjeev Aneja, a key organizer of Bhajan Sandhya said he was blown away by the enthusiastic turnout and delighted that the audience contributed to a good cause.

Anup Jalota sang brilliantly that evening to a house full auditorium. Mellifluous singing, a phenomenal stage presence, charming and entertaining, his bhajans were poignant and soulful. Anup Jalota who trained under the tutelage of his famous father, classical music exponent Purshottam Das Jalota has bhajans like “Aisi Lagi Lagan Meera Ho Gayi …and Maiya Mori” to his credit. These exquisite dedications have enchanted devotees and won him millions of fans internationally.

The response from the audience was fantastic and the performance helped spread the word of Lord Krishna. Anand and Duri Desai were thrilled “Spiritually uplifting melodies of Hare Krishna and Bhajans.” Mahesh Shah said “Mr. Jalota is the king of religious songs. It was a great selection by the ISKCON Committee.” “Wonderful evening for a great cause” said Bhudev and Bharati Sharma who enjoyed the Bhajan Sandhya.

Sponsored in North America by TV Asia, Indian Express, Eastern Air Courier and Sahara One, Anup Jalota will be performing Bhajan and Ghazal concerts in the coming months in the US and Canada. Ghazal maestro Anup Jalota sings beautiful music in Atlanta for a great cause!

It was a night to remember! Anup Jalota’s “Shaam-e-ghazal” music event on Friday, January 19 at Ashiana in the Global Mall in Atlanta was a mega success. Organized by the Robin Raina Foundation, a wonderful charity organization founded by entrepreneur Robin Raina to benefit underprivileged and sick children in India, Anup Jalota performed for a terrific cause.

Often called the “Ghazal Samrat,” Anup Jalota held audiences spellbound with his renditions. An incredible range, a powerful voice, and an engaging personality on stage, the 400 plus audience enjoyed every minute of his divine music. As Robin Raina aptly said “Anup was absolutely fabulous and stole the hearts of Atlanta people with his versatility and voice modulation. Anup is a legend and the show established it even more.”

The living legend was pure magic that night. The theme of the show was Nawabi Shaan and with a set and décor to match the richness and grandeur of the theme, Anup Jalota’s music and charm captured audiences. Hassan Shah of Liberty Textiles simple raved “Awesome.” Kaberi Basu, Manager of KBC Centura Bank said “Excellent program. We enjoyed Anupji’s melodious and vibrant voice.” Fawad Ahmed of Momentum Group was thrilled with the performance “Atlanta needed a show like this.”
