Famous for bhajans and ghazals, Anup Jalota has been devoted to music all his life. His father is the classical music exponent, Purshottam Das Jalota. He is also his guru.

Anup Jalota started his musical career as a chorus singer in All India Radio.
He hails from the Shamiana Gharana of Phagwara, Punjab. A linguist, Anup sings and speaks in 6 different languages. A veteran performer, Anup connects wonderfully with audiences and holds them spellbound.

In his personal life, he is married to Medha, niece of former Indian Prime Minister, Inder Kumar Gujral.
